The GoalSUITE project, consistent in the transformation and elevation of Goal Systems’ products to a new Cloud environment., has been one of those selected under the 2020 Call for grants for technological development in artificial intelligence and other digital enabling technologies, in the context of strategic action in the economy and digital society using the state programme of Research, development and innovation (R+D+i) oriented towards the challenges of society and of the state programme of corporate leadership in (R+D+i). The call launched RED.ES (State-run Enterprise affiliated to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation), through the Secretary of State of Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence.
The objective of GoalSUITE is to create a leading solution for the optimisation and management of operative planning in the transport sector through a configurable suite, which can be adapted to the expected demands of the customer and serve the needs of transport regulators and operators so that they can access the technology in a decentralised way.
With this new operative model in the cloud, Goal Systems guarantees that it will offer the market the first solution for the optimisation of transport planners and resources, using the Software-as-a-service model, based on an innovative, distributed, and free architecture that allows for the implementation of its powerful calculator with new customer-owner and third-party applications, creating a service of optimisation under the unique demand of the world.
In a more concrete way, this new operative model in the cloud is based on six fundamental principles:
- Common core for all products, with a long-term growth strategy aligned with the strategy of the company.
- Configurability of the solution, adaptable to the customers’ processes and extensible through specific developments.
- User-friendly according to a state-of-the-art design paradigm, and attractive and oriented to the customer.
- Product development and delivery processes to customers that are reliable, quick and of the required quality.
- Streamlined organisation that allows the development capability to be adapted to the demands of the customers and be seen as a long-term product strategy.
- Capabilities and culture that leverage the business model and ensure an effective job.
Additionally, the established propositions of the new operative model are:
- Vision one – suite, sharing cross-disciplinary functionality and the best user experience.
- Cloud-first-but-not-only, best-in-class architecture, based on market standards (Microsoft Azure) considered to be a state-of-the-art paradigm.
- Improved delivery model to continually roll out and improve the product roadmap.
